On the second day of the USAME, We took the BART into San Fransisco walking from there to Glide Church and the Cameron House.  Glide church serves meals , 800,000 a year, 364 days a year three times a day.  They serve anyone who comes hungry.  We volunteered to serve lunch.  I was in charge of bussing two tables.  The guests were very polite saying thank you often.  Some brought plastic containers to save food for later or someone else.  We also ate lunch there.
We then walked to the Cameron house, a Presbyterian ministry in China town that originally worked to bring women out of slavery.  Now they support the community through, youth programs that provide help with homework,  leadership, cancer management, English as a second language, and a food pantry.
In the evening we joined the Snyod of the Pacfic Gathering for a Bible study.
